National Bulk Foods Week 2013

  Dear Valued Retailer,

Woman shopping from a New Leaf Gravity Food binWe're excited to invite you to help us in celebrating National Bulk Foods Week, October 13-19, 2013. The Bulk is Green Council (BIG), is calling on respected food retailers such as yourself to take part in a fun and free promotional opportunity.

Founded in 2008, BIG is a research and advocacy organization dedicated to increasing consumer, retailer and grocer awareness of the environmental and economic benefits of buying natural and organic food in the bulk aisle of the grocery store.

In addition, look for October discounts on bulk items from your distributor or direct from BIG council members. By participating, you’ll have a chance to win BIG’s newest industry recognition – the 2013 Best Bulk Food Retailer of the Year.

In a tough economy, your customers are paying close attention to what they buy at the grocery store. Shopping in bulk offers consumers the opportunity to save $, reduce food waste and decrease their carbon footprint through reduced packaging.
